Become a Confident Swimmer in 2023!

Swim Ireland’s Swim For A Mile initiative aims to encourage people to get back into the pool and become confident life-long swimmers. Swim Ireland coaches have written a swimming programme, that enables those who can swim a little to swim a mile in just 12 weeks. You can choose to follow the programme on your own or join one of the SFAM training groups at a participating pool.

Step up to the challenge and opt to complete the mile (or half mile) in an official Swim For A Mile Challenge event, where you will be supported through your timed swim and receive a Swim For A Mile event pack.

Please support our charity partner:

Children's Health Foundation

The Children’s Health Foundation are the Official Charity Partner of the Swim For a Mile Challenge.

This year Swim Ireland commits to donating €5,000 to The Children's Health Foundation, but can you help us reach our goal of €10,000?

You can opt to create your own fundraising page with SFAM when completing your event booking, or alternatively you can add a donation to your booking instantly when checking out or simply share the donation page to spread awareness!

The Children's Health Foundation raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in CHI hospitals and urgent care centres in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly.

Let’s swim miracle miles for the Children’s Health Foundation!
